Turn a single PNG tile into a 12x12 vinyl print layout
Start with one square seamless PNG, select a 12 × 12 inch sheet in VinylMaker, and choose the physical size of the repeat. Export a Production PNG to get a 3600 × 3600 pixel sheet without duplicating and aligning every tile by hand.
From one tile to a finished sheet

Import the original PNG tile
Open the Pattern Library and choose Upload Patterns. Import the square seamless PNG you want to print. Transparent areas are supported; a solid background already baked into the artwork will stay solid.

Create a 12 × 12 inch sheet
Create a sheet from your pattern and select a 12 × 12 inch sheet size in the Designer. If necessary, add that size in Settings first. Sheet size controls the finished artwork area, not the size of one motif.

Set a repeat size in inches
For a simple four-by-four layout, set Tile Size to 3 inches at 100% scale, with rotation and offsets at zero. VinylMaker fills the sheet with 16 repeats. A 6 inch tile gives a two-by-two layout; a 2 inch tile gives a six-by-six layout.

Inspect the repeat and save the sheet
Look at the joins between tiles, the motif scale, and the transparent areas. Name the sheet and choose Save sheet. You can save repeat settings as a preset if you want to reuse this setup.

Export the exact square artwork
Choose Export and Production PNG. The resulting artwork is 3600 × 3600 pixels, sized for 12 × 12 inches at 300 pixels per inch. Keep the production file separate from any watermarked preview JPG.

Check the size in your print workflow
Set the imported artwork to 12 × 12 inches in your printer or RIP software. Confirm the printer and media support that output size; an 8.5 inch-wide printer cannot print a full 12 inch-wide sheet in one pass. Test before running a batch.
Choose the look before you export

These source sizes target 300 pixels per inch for each repeat. A smaller image can still be enlarged, but it may look soft. Repeating a tile uses its detail again; it does not require the source tile itself to be 3600 pixels wide.
Transparent artwork and production files
Production PNG preserves transparent areas from the pattern. Transparency is not a white-ink printing instruction: the physical result depends on your media and printer or RIP configuration. Check how your print software handles the file before printing on clear or colored material.
If you need a clean 12 × 12 image, use the production PNG. Choose production PDF when your workflow calls for finish labels, and inspect the resulting page dimensions because the footer can extend beyond the square artwork.
